Who Inspires You?
Sane Energy 2025 by the Numbers
As this year comes to a close, we want to pause and say something simple and true:
We see you.
We see you in the meetings, the rallies, the art, the late nights, the hard conversations. We see you in every win we fought for together, and in every fight still ahead.
Today, we’re sharing Sane Energy Project: 2025 By the Numbers, a snapshot of what this community made possible together.
These numbers matter. They represent real pressure on decision-makers, real organizing power, and real movement toward a just, renewable energy future.
But just as important as what we’ve accomplished is how we work.
We believe the transition to a renewable and democratic energy system starts with people taking back power...literally.
That’s why we organize to build a skilled, informed, and diverse grassroots movement that empowers communities to control their energy systems and utility costs.
Sane Energy’s joyful, community-rooted organizing has helped stop pipelines, power plants, and LNG terminals across New York by working in deep coalition with neighborhood groups. Even when projects move forward, our collective pressure forces polluters to reckon with growing and organized public opposition, rising costs, and the inevitability of a cleaner, fairer energy future.
If you’re able, we invite you to make an end-of-year gift, perhaps in honor of someone who inspires you to keep going: maybe a loved one, a mentor, or a neighbor. This movement is built on care, courage, and community, and your support helps sustain all three. In the donation link, you can name who or what you are honoring.
Your donation fuels our work to:
Stop fossil fuel expansion
Defend New York’s climate laws
Fight utility price gouging
Build a just, renewable energy future led by the communities most impacted.
Thank you for being part of this fight and this family.
With deepest gratitude,
Kim, Mike, Claire, Elliot, and JK
P.S. Please make a gift in honor of someone you love
