Pull up with us in the 💖BRONX💖 tomorrow!
Pushing for the #NYHEAT Act in the Bronx, holding the New York Power Authority accountable and more
We hope to see you on Friday in the Bronx with the Renewable Heat Now coalition, where we’ll be calling for passage of the NY HEAT Act, bold climate legislation that saves New Yorkers money and cuts air pollution. We’ll also unveil the NY HEAT Savings Calculator, a new tool that lets ratepayers see what they’ll save if this bill is signed into law this year. Assemblymember Yudelka Tapia, State Senator Luis R. Sepúlveda, Assemblymember Karines Reyes, New York City Councilmember Pierina Sanchez, speakers from South Bronx Unite and WE ACT, and others will be joining us to advocate for lower energy bills and clean heat.
Curious about the NY HEAT Act?
Take a moment to view this video that we produced for the Renewable Heat Now coalition with New Yorkers for Clean Power, the Association for Energy Affordability, and the Alliance for a Green Economy.
On Tuesday, our Advisor on Policy and Sustainability, Jeanne Bergman, represented the Public Power NY crew on a trip to the New York Power Authority (NYPA) headquarters to attend their board meeting and remind them who they really work for – ordinary New Yorkers, not big business 💪⚡
